Itinerary

Departure: 8:00am

Back to hotel: 3:00pm

Day 1

8:45 – 10:45 hrs

After a 45 min drive to UNESCO’s site, you will visit wat Phu for about 2 hours. This site was shaped to express the Hindu vision of the relationship between nature and mankind. Using a descending axis, from the top of the mountain to the River bank, the site was built to lay out a geometric pattern of temples, shrines and waterworks. The whole represents a development ranging from the 5th to the 15th centuries, mainly associated with the Khmer Empire.

10:45 – 14:00 hrs

You will then take the car for an hour to go to eat a traditional meal in Huay Mea Sang Village. After Lunch, you will go to Hat Say Khoun Village to take a boat to yourfinal destination,Donkhone Island

14:00 – 15:30 hrs

You will on a boat on your way to Donkhone. For an hour and half going downstream to the 4000 islands. You will discover this Amazing area filled with different sized islands. During rainy season a lot of the island are covered by the Mekong

Donkhone Island :

This southernmost destination in Laos, hold the majority of the 4000 Islands’ natural and historic attraction. Over a century ago, this area was the battleground where ambition clashed with nature the French tried to create a passage for their colonial empire through Indochina. This is why you can observe historic remains such as the colonial bridge 

Day 2

8:00 – 9:30 hrs

the first activity of the day is the Irrawaddy dolphin boat tour being less than 10 around the 4000 islands, this source water dolphin species is endangered. 

9:30 – 10:20 hrs

After boat tour you will go to Liphi waterfall, which is a collection of powerful falls spilling down at different angles to join in a powerful flow. At the end of the main path, you can find a nine beach.

10:20 – 11:40 hrs

You will go to lunch at Senghaloune’s restaurant. After lunch you will take a boat from hotel back to Nakasang village to go to khonephapheng water fall.

11:40 – 12:55 hrs

Neat destination, Khonephapheng waterfall very impressive natural wonder, considered as South East Asia’s biggest waterfall.

Fun fact: The Existence of the waterfall is the main reason why the Mekong river is not gable by ship from China downstream into the South China sea.

13:00 – 15:00 hrs

From khonephapheng you will take the car back to pakse
