09:00 – 09:30 AM : Boat Transfer & Paddle Training

The morning begins with a prompt 09:00 AM pick-up by local boat from your hotel on Don Khone to transfer over to Don Det. Gather on the riverbanks where your certified guide provides high-quality gear fitting and an interactive tutorial covering basic paddle techniques, steering, and water safety instructions.

10:00 AM : Island Rapids & Don Khone Village Walk

Launch your kayaks and paddle along the western shores of Don Det, weaving past a network of small, lush islets to the north of Don Khone. After warming up on minor currents, test your skills against exciting Grade 2 to 3 rapids. Following the 40-minute paddle, pull ashore at Don Khone village for a relaxed 25-minute walk to see traditional island homes, followed by another 25-minute stroll to reach the downstream launch pier.

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM : Cambodian Border & Fishermen's Beach

Hop back into the kayaks for a scenic 40-minute downstream paddle down to the historic water boundaries bordering the Lao-Cambodian border. Afterward, dock at a secluded river spot frequented exclusively by local island fishermen. Enjoy time to swim in the cool waters, snap photos, and relax before kayaking to the final pier at Hang Khone village for your local transport ride back to your hotel.
